Post-frontal open cell cumulus with a transition to closed cell behaviors

Description

This was a postfrontal open cell cumulus event featuring a frontal passage that happened the previous day. Low-level winds were light and from the north throughout this event. As the day processed into evening, this event was noteworthy as there was an apparent transition of the cloud field from a somewhat sparse open cell behavior towards one of a closed cell stratocumulus condition. The cloud echo top heights for this event were below the observed melting level.
