Widespread open cellular cumulus event with northerly flow

Description

A widespread open cell cumulus event with modest (25-30 kt) northerly low-level flows. Cloud echo tops observed near or slightly above the ambient melting level (approximately 1.5-2.0 km AGL). The cloud echo tops and the melting level were both observed to decrease throughout the event.
